I didn’t even expect them to have time to look at it the next day but they did first thing and my car was fixed by 2pm. I thought the price was reasonable for all the things that were going on with it. Eric and CJ kept in touch with me through text which was so convenient for me as I was at work and can’t answer a call if I’m with a patient. They have also recently worked on my husband’s car and my brother’s too.Thank you for going above and beyond making a stressful time a lot easier.

Chance Myers The body work seems okay SO FAR, but the paint is orange peeled. When I picked it up, I noticed that they broke my interior door panel so I went inside and told the receptionist. A guy came out and said "somebody must have missed a screw" which makes me question the quality of what was done and wonder what else they missed. They did promise to pick up and fix it, but they never did and havent reached out at all and its been nearly a month. They ignored my concerns and got an attitude when I asked if they looked into them and had any answers, which they didnt. I never knew what was going on or what was being repaired. I never saw a quote to approve or have the opportunity to question anything, I just got a text that it was done. They didnt help with any supplements to the claim, they only cared about getting paid. And there were mechanical/suspension concerns, that they send out for since theyre just a body shop, but they used Discount Tire instead of a real shop. So I will be taking it to a real shop to fix my concerns and verify things are okay because nothing was done other than telling me that Discount Tire said it looked fine.

Lee Flowers I recently had a situation where a car attempted to enter my lane, I swerved to avoid the car hitting me, hit the curb pretty hard. It was a Saturday and I was just passing through Morris. I googled tire shops and hoped against all odds that one would be open. I walked into New generation tire and auto 30 minutes before close. I asked if someone could drive my van to tell me if it could make it the hour drive home. I didn’t get his name, but he jumped right in and drove it and then took the time to take the tire off and assess the damage. I was so grateful both guys stayed late to fix it so that I could safely get back on the road. A bit pricey but honestly that was ok as I was an unexpected customer! I will definitely make the trip back to Morris if I have any issues that I would like looked at. Thanks again guys!

Now there are people there who cut corners and dont want to look at things that are needed especially when I bring my grandmas car in to be fixed two different times. I bring it to helping hands and they showed me everything that was wrong that could have been fixed the past two times. I will now take my services to helping hands especially for my grandmothers car! Very disappointed!

Martin Cingle I was in need of a transmission for my 2011 chrysler t&c. This facility not only towed my vehicle from plainfield but was able to replace it the same day. They were upfront about costs and turnaround time was much faster than they quoted. Cost was about $4700 give or take a few $$$ in total. Transmission rebuild. New line and radiator flush. Plus some other items. Not bad since one guy said they were 4 to 6 weeks out and another said at least 2 months at $9500. If in need af another I will be calling them again. Thank you for the fast friendly service.

Brad Quinn Had Tim work on my vehicle numerous times without incident. The last was just before I was to move out of state. Unfortunately, the work i paid him to do(replace rear differential seals) was not done. He said any leaks was residual fluid and I may need a new differential down the road. my neighbor and I struck up a conversation shortly thereafter, found out he is a diesel mechanic. He asked to took a look, and ge showed me every step of the way how no work had been done. bolts nearly impossible to remove, that should have been removed 4 weeks prior. anyhow, he removed rear differential replaced all the gaskets, no more leaks. very disappointed in the trust I put in him. my neighbor and I confronted him about this, he promptly issued a refund.

Nikki Smith I first took my car into Harvs February 4th 2016, all it needed was break pads fixed. He charged me $265, JUST for break pads. Not even a full month later, and the same back break started grinding again. I immediately called and asked what was going on. He then proceeds to tell me that my back caliper was so bad he figured it was going to need work done soon. So then I have to take it back into him to replace that and new break pads! He quoted me $300, then told me after he fixed it, I owed him $409.31. 1. NO work should of been done until I knew the new price. It was dishonest and I had to pay in order to get my car. 2. If you notice something when youre doing a job, say something! It would of been cheaper on your client to do it all at once. 3. DONT lie to me about the price of a part. Its easy these days to look it up online. I will never take my car to him again. And after we took the car in the final time, I got news from a few friends in town how sneaky he is, and how he rips people off. This is what we get for being new in town.

Wilamina Crider-Green The guys are great every time I come in got an oil change. I also have had my front tires changed. I recently had my front driver side brake done . Every time I am so thankful for the honesty. The guys never ever talk over me as a woman. They never try to get me to buy stuff I dont need. For example. I thought I need my two rear tires replaced. After tires were ordered and they looked my my tire situation. They informed me my rear tires dont need to be replaced. Now talk about HONESTY!! How totally refreshing. It is the honesty, the way I am spoken to and treat by any of the staff. Is why I recommend the guys. If you dont want to wait a long time for an oil change at some of the other places in and around Morris. Try these guys out.

Jake Shumann Went in to get my oil changed on my 2014 Chevy Equinox on 3/3/2025 & after they had finished, I was surprised to find out from the Lube Tech that my car wouldnt start. I had to call for a local tow since their truck was being repaired, and my mechanic was up in Joliet(ended up being a $230 tow). We got stranded in Morris until that Thursday($250+ in motel costs & other misc. costs because our stuff was stuck in the SUV which is our home & walked on foot to the nearest motel) since my mechanic was so busy and had to take an Uber up to pick it up($25), where the mechanic found out that the wire harness for the fuel rail had been disconnected when they did the oil change and it was NOT like that when I drove it in, obviously. Will not be returning to this business in the future & would recommend against anyone else having their oil change done here. Their carelessness cost us $500+ and I had to get a ride to work from a coworker, we work 45 mins away.

Nick Frazier Ive been going to Viva and his team at Gearheads for years. The whole team is top notch, professional, proficient, honest and quick. Recently, my wifes vehicle needed brake pads and rotors done and she had a recall issue to be resolved so I asked her to get a quote from the dealership while she was there just to see. Pads and rotors at the dealer: $1,797!!!? Couldnt do anything but chuckle. Reached out to Gearheads: $897. Beyond the pricing, I honestly dont think theres a more proficient or honest garage in town. Ive had Gearheads take care of many of my vehicles over the years (business and personal) and if for some reason the repair doesnt fully resolve the issue, Viva stands behind his garages work and will work to get it resolved in a fair manner. If youre not at least checking with Gearheads, youre doing yourself a disservice. Top notch. Every time.

Jeff S I dropped off my alternator for my corvette since it was making a lot of noise. The problems were quickly diagnosed and they ordered the parts. They used materials of extreme high quality far superior to the parts used by the factory. Pricing was also incredibly fair and a little less than buying a reman alternator from a parts store. I still get to have the original part but with better components. This will be my only stop in the future if I need alternator work!
