    • Tips 2 Toes Nail Salon - St. Charles Stephanie: First time trying this place because they have good reviews but unfortunately my nails came out lumpy. The man who did them was very fast and service was cheap but the quality was lacking. I will not be returning. ā­ā­ Update: One of my nails broke very short (first time my nails have broken in the last 3 years getting them done) so I came back in to and had to cut them all down to match. John did a very thorough job making sure they came out nice and they feel much better this time. New photos (purple) at the end. I will come back again next month and evaluate again. Updated star rating from 2 to 4 ā­ā­ā­ā­
    MK nails - St. Charles Lily Velasco: I went cause my little sister likes coming here and she said itā€™s very affordable (under $55) for acrylics. I went and they charged me $75. The designs my sister gets are more eccentric than I usually do. I went two hours before they closed and I felt very rushed. Not to be nit picky but the design felt so rushed it was crooked/ centered in the middle. I was there for an hour. Maybe it was just an off day but I donā€™t think Iā€™ll be returning. Very nice though but I just didnā€™t like the work. Not terrible by any means but not what I was expecting/ looking for.
    Katrina Salon & Spa - Batavia Jean Bicknell: After years of floating around trying different stylists at another salon and leaving unhappy, in one appointment, Katie changed everything. She enabled me to like my hair again. She is an amazing listener, then uses her own creativity and skill to get you what you want, and has a vision of more. My hair is now healthy and easy to style on my own, which is a sign of a great cut. So happy I found her!
    Hamilton Hair & Nails - Geneva Cynthia Freed: From the second you walk in and are greeted by Gordy (the shop mascot... sweetest little dog), you feel like family. All of the stylists are so friendly, there is usually a fun conversation going on within the whole shop, you feel like you are there to visit, not just get hair done. Amy is INCREDIBLE! I get complements on my hair all the time!!! I followed her from her last salon, and love the open fun atmosphere. If you are looking for a stuffy, pretentious atmosphere, this is NOT the place....
    Lisas Heads Or Nails Salon - Batavia Meredith Szymczak: I have visited Emily for a facial there a few times and every experience I have had there was amazing. She is very knowledgeable in her field and took the time to educate me not only on what was going on with my skin at the beginning but through every step of the process during the facial and visits thereafter. With her advice, I was able to achieve exactly what I was looking for through facials once a month and products she recommended. Would highly recommend! I cant wait to come back in soon!
    Us Nails - Bradley Mary Jane doud: Donā€™t get me wrong I love my nails, but not for no $90. A French tip with 2 hearts & 2 gems? I was absolutely in shock at the price. When I got in my car I cried because I was mad that I did not ask about the price but I was NOT expecting $90. You can definitely go somewhere else more affordable and get even more designs for a cheaper price. I unfortunately cheated on my nail tech because I had a photo shoot & she couldnā€™t get me in in time. I will never return here. $90 & I didnā€™t even get lotion or a hand massage or anything. Price is ridiculous, I shouldā€™ve asked more questions about pricing. Never again.
    ZiZi Nails & Spa - Bradley Kathleen OBrien: been going here for almost a yr Ive had so many different employees and not 1 complaint abought any of them. Ive beennlucky enoghtctovhave tina on more thenbone visit. shes amazing! they are all gentle & persice. they dont stop until there completely satisfied because they take pride in there work.
    Star Nails - Kankakee A M: The guy who did my nails cut me 3 separate times, made the nails crooked, and the "tips" way too big. Paid 30 dollars for my nails to look like 2 a year old did them. Will not be going back.
    VN Nails - Kankakee Lindsey Pinson: During my pedi the man needed a translator and burnt my feet really bad with the hot towel. Next I got "gel nails", the ends by my cuticles had ridges I had to file off and the sides were uneven. Paint was thin and see through on three nails and the tops were uneven from being shaped wrong. Middle nail broke off 1 week after and the rest look terrible now not even two weeks later. Glue everywhere and my nails were very sore the next day. Never had a set like this.. If I could give zero stars I would.
