    Jeremy Enke: Went to Teds for the first time to have brake work done and a good look over my daughters car before she takes it back to college. And I have to say I was thoroughly impressed. One of the mechanics, Damian, was awesome and explained everything that was needed and even made some great recommendations of things I hadnt thought of. The price was also far less than I expected to pay for the various work that needed to be done. I would highly recommend Teds Auto Service. One of the best mechanics Ive worked with in Rockford.

My dad told me when I first started driving Years ago,”When you find and honest great mechanic, Stick with them!” Great advice and has been my practice ever since, no matter where I’ve lived. When I first moved to the neighborhood I had my eye on Mike’s. The vibe it gives off is one of honesty and a customer caring owner. I took my 2019 Flex there in December for an oil change. (never go to your wham bam oil changing places, find a reputable car shop) I got a call from them not long after the drop off, that my serpentine belt was cracking and needed replaced and they quoted me a price. I didn’t hesitate and authorized them to change the belt. I am on the highway a lot between here and Kentucky, I don’t need that problem at 70 mph at 7am in the middle of nowhere. LOL That’s the kind of shop I want in my corner. Need a trustworthy and honest car shop check out Mike’s, you won’t be disappointed!Thanks Mike’s Auto Service!!

    Bob Oliai: The Ricotta’s are true craftsmen who have an unparalleled knowledge of Corvettes and GM muscle cars. Recently, I took my 1968 Corvette to them for a routine maintenance. The car hsd previously had a very thorough frame off restoration but once I got it to the shop the car would not start and had no electrical power. Apparently, the wiring was completely incorrectly done such that the car could have started on fire if it had been driven long enough, which frankly could’ve ended very badly for me. They diagnosed everything that was wrong and fixed it so that the car is now safe! They also Installed a new wiper motor, stereo and tuned the car up for the summer. These guys are probably one of a handful of shops in the United States that could’ve done this work and I’m very thankful that they helped me out.     Jose G Camacho Jr: Second time I’ve been to Carpenter Auto & Transmission. The first time was for the water pump, early last year and this week for the rear brakes. Service is always great and the work, excellent. The Staff is friendly and will let you know what needs to be done before they start the work. Hopefully I won’t need any major work done for a while, but if I do Carpenter’s will be my go to Auto repair shop.

    LadyFi: Had a oil change here last year and didnt know until this year that my oil wasnt changed, just the filter! oil was very black like molasses, and while there I asked Tom Tom to drive my van to see if he heard the noise anybody can clearly hear when my car was on he said he didnt hear a thing but told me my car was raggedy! long story short I was ripped off! Never again!

They kept me informed on progress and parts decisions. I would like to give the credit deserved to Trevor who performed the installation. He went above and beyond and completed a professional job that exceeded my expectations. The installation looks and performs like it should. Fair price and highly recommend them for your auto needs.
