V Kuhl Well.....it was nice and all. Clean and tidy and friendly. The stylist took over an hour to cut my hair which is only as long as the bottom of my ears. I asked for an asymmetrical cut as that is what i needed trimming. She seemed to not know what an asymmetrical cut was. Then she argued as to what I wanted. I just dont understand how I can get what I want from my regular company which is not in this area and another stylist does not understand what an asymmetrical cut is. How one stylist can take 20 minutes and another one take over an hour. And then to be charged $50 for a short hair trim! Nope. This is not my place. I tried. And in the end it wasnt what I wanted.

I have been in Rockford for 26 years and never had a regular stylist until I found Mersiha. I have been going to her exclusively for three years now with great results every time!

Kylie Pumphrey Hands down the best my hair has ever felt and looked. They slay it Everytime!! I love the education I get about how to properly care for my hair so I can achieve what Im looking for and preserve my color better. Its been a game changer! I leave feeling so beautiful every time and its the best experience Ive ever had at a salon from the time you walk in the door to the time you leave. I have found my forever salon!

Jennifer Wilberg I cant tell you how much Lorleanne has been HUGE support and educator on my curly girl journey! Today we did a root touch up and tone. I am loving the tone of my hair. When it curls the highlights and baby lights give my hair such great dimension! My husband loves me to straighten my hair so we went with a blow out too, which I think is a happy medium! Knocked it out of the park and had a blast while getting pampered!

Hannah Kelley Lorleanne is amazing! Every time I have an appointment, I know it’s going to be an incredible experience. She not only makes me feel beautiful, but makes me feel welcomed and cared for. She goes out of her way to make a genuine connection with you.

Jordan Cunningham Robin is phenomenal! Always super helpful in making color decisions, and always does everything she can to make your hair what you dreamed of before you went in! She does my fiancé’s hair as well and neither of us have ever had a bad experience.

Kristi B Robin is amazing! I recently went and had her cut and do a partial highlight on my hair and loved it! Then as a special birthday gift for my daughter I wanted to do a "glam up" so we had her very long, fine hair highlighted. It turned out perfect! Very pleased and would highly recommend.

Tammy Kasmar I had surgery and couldnt wash my hair. Marianna herself shampooed, blew me dry and styled very nicely. Lasted a few days!

Luisa Hernandez I came in to get my hair dyed red. On her website, I couldnt really find what I was looking for and clicked on hair color, which was $100. I have had my hair dyed previously by another professional and still had the bleach in. I went in and the service I was looking for was about $200. I understand hair is expensive, but just a warning to those looking to go in for dye. The service wasnt terrible. There was a new girl and I really like her and she was nice! She started to do my hair and was super chill. Nelly was also nice but just made some unusual comments about my face ("we need pictures but also need makeup" "your face is greasy enough for the dye to not stick") which I just took as nellys "quirk". My hair was curled and it was another charge, got pictures taken, and went home. They were nice and gave me a shower cap since it was raining and I appreciated that. The next day, I had a horrible headache and looked at my head and it was covered in blisters. I have psoriasis but I never had that kind of reaction before. I went straight to the doctors and was given medication and told that it was a chemical burn due to the hair dye or bleach being left in and not washed out properly. I went home, washed my hair, and the blisters were gone within a couple days. Unfortunately, it did leave a bald spot. I did send her a text explaining that I would go to the doctors and update her. After hearing this, I didnt want to deal with going back and the drama. To top it off, I have had this all done a month ago. Ive had my hair dye last me 2-3 months without fading due to the products I use and my washing routine. I had already lost all of the color and Im so disappointed that I spent that amount for color that lasted just that bit. I explained to her my worries about the color fading before picture day (this past week) and she also explained that she could do a touch up. After my experience, I couldnt justify going back. I was told she gives great haircuts and she has a very loyal customer service. Shes worked hard for her clientele and I have to give her respect for that. The new person there does eyebrows and shes super nice. The other woman there does nails and she did an amazing job on others while I was there. I hope that this honest review doesnt hold people back for going to these services. I just cant justify going back for my red hair experience.

Heather Jonas I was referred to Nelly by a friend whos been going to her for years. I was looking for someone to remove my extensions and put it new ones. I got my old ones taken out, my hair colored and new ones put it. She colored my hair to the exact color if the extensions and toned them perfectly!!! Im absolutely in love with my hair and service I was given!!! I definitely recommend her services!!! Thank you Nelly for getting my back right for me!!!

Nicole Starks Nelly is absolutely AMAZING! She really listened to me and also made Great suggestions on color, cuts, and styles for my hair/hair type! Everytime I left, I felt like I left a new person! My hair is so healthy now as well as beautiful! All thanks to Nelly! I also love the relaxing laid back vibe of her shop and the other stylest Miritza also does Phenomenal work! If I could give them 10 stars I would!

Anna My hair has never looked better. Andy did such a great job and I cannot wait to have Dina highlight my hair. I felt so comfortable there. It is nice!

Jake Laskonis The Barber, Andy, was an old next door neighbor of mine. Ive been going to him for years to get my haircut. Hes a friendly, and professional. Just all around great experience.

Chad Appleby I love this salon! Kayla does fantastic work. My hair hasnt looked this good in years. I wish I would have known about this place sooner. Not only do they do great work, its a classy place and very warm and inviting experience. Loved it.

Breann Kirk I love this place so much. Bri is my go-to girl for anything I suggest to her. Sadie is also my favorite collie in the world.

Katrina Lisk I was recently there and will never go back! The employees and even the owner are extremely rude and unprofessional. Kortney did my hair and when she was done I couldnt even tell a difference. She knew I was unhappy and her comment to me was "I hope you like it, if not thats to bad i dont have time to fix it" WOW! After that I tried to get in to have her fix it. Its been a month and a half later and she still hasnt done anything about it. Even Kayla the owner didnt help. That place is a joke and I will never refer anyone there!! Not to mention how much hair she ripped out in the process of doing my hair.

Camille Lawson I am the daughter who referred my mom to a shop I get my braids done at and my mom who has hair loss from meds for seizures and ptsd she is a survivor. She was left under a dryer for over 2 hrs she was side eyed for her hair loss by not just her stylist Tay but staff. My mom left more broken then she arrived but they charged the going rate for a wig install thanks Bomb

He’s very detailed in the steps he takes and cares about clients comfort, asking every step of the way how things were and if I needed anything, he’s a very lively person and an all around joy to be around.

Pam Scribner This was a first time for getting an eyelash lift & tint along with getting my eyebrows cleaned up. Libby has a beautiful room for her services and is very gentle and professional. She let me know what to expect and let me relax. I will definitely try some of her other services. Very easy to schedule an appointment online.

J Califf Teresa is the best! She is kind and very knowledgeable with her stylings. Her recommendations on what I come to her with to do to my hair are better than my ideas. Shes been flexible with my schedule, and sends me a reminder of our appointment! I so appreciate that! The salon is very tidy and it feels comfortable to be there. I even saw another stylist work her magic on her client. Wow! It was beautiful!!! You should give them a call if you are reading this review!

Marie Frzr My daughter and I had been trying to find a salon for a while now. We were commuting to and from Chicago just to get our hair done . (We are originally from Chicago) .. I drove pass this salon one day and saw a woman doing hair. I pulled into the parking lot and run in to grab a business card . She was extremely professional and I figured I would give her a try. What the heck right? I scheduled an appointment that week. She did not disappoint . Needless to say , this is our second visit and we will continue coming back. Im happy . My daughter is happy and I no longer need to make the drive to Chicago just for a hair appointment . I highly recommend. Jeanine is wonderful . Professional, friendly, polite and makes you feel comfortable . Pleasant staff and atmosphere .

Rosa Jasso The lady that cuts my hair moved out of state and I haven’t cut my hair since. Today, I decided it was time to go to somebody else. I called and she wasn’t at the salon but she said she could be there within 30 min! I decided to wait for her and oh my do I not regret it! Maritza did an amazing job on my bob! I am more than happy with my hair! I will definitely be going back to her!

Julie M Ive had a great experience with stylist Abi. Im horrible at explaining what I want but she does a great job bleaching/coloring my hair so it grows out nicely and looks more natural. The salon is super clean and a wonderful environment to be in while youre there. I always feel greatly taken care of while Im here and love the small touches (available snacks/drinks, and extra toiletries in the bathroom if you need it).

IRINA Borden Went to make an apt for my nails and they didnt have any open appointments for moths apparently. No wonder Vietnamese nail salons are taking all the business.

Amanda Susan Bragg Stracia was amazing! She installed individual box braids and now I will not go anywhere else. I have been to several braiders in Rockford and she surpassed them all. She aims to please and makes sure that you are satisfied. My braids are smooth, are the perfect length, and are not too tight. My previous braider left the area and her sisters took over her business. They had poor, poor customer service skills and the quality of their work diminished. Stracia is a blessing!

Alanda Smith I went to have crochets done...let’s start at the top, the decor is artsy, the atmosphere is welcoming, spa like, relaxing and tranquil, the hair wash OMG, no words, amazing! Then she blew it out, braided and crocheted me all the while engaging with me in easy, smooth, conversation, she made me feel like I was appreciated! I generally do my own hair, so to give that over to someone else is MAJOR for me! I loved the hair do and the experience. Thank you Stracia, can’t wait for my next appointment.
