4 /5 Ericka White: Initial reaction: We came in 15 minutes before the kitchen closed and waited over 5 minutes to get a menu. A large party also came in right before us. When our waitress came to us (she did not have the large table) she told us the kitchen closed in 5 minutes and gave us the menu. We had to rush to make choices quickly because of it although the large table was still ordering after us (after closing time).
Food: Definitely would not order the grilled poppers, they were the saddest little appetizer I’ve ever seen in a restaurant. The fried cheese curds were good, nice bite sizes that were hot. I ordered the chicken fried chicken special and substituted a salad for the green beans (they had pork in them). The mashed potatoes were cold, only thr gravy on top had any heat (but no flavor). The chicken was hot and nicely breaded but again, the gravy on top had zero flavor. The side salad with ranch was crisp. Also ordered a Philly cheesesteak and the cheese slices thrown on top were not melted at all which let us know the sandwich overall was cold. The curly fries were rushed and not cooked all the way.
The server was attentive and checked on us twice. We didn’t ask for any remakes due to the time and to respect the kitchen staff however this will likely not be on our list in the near future.
