2 /5 john martin: From my experience this is very much a sales organization and less of a professional practice. I was subjected to aggressive scare tactics and some pretty horrible photos of people with conditions noting like the gum recession I have. Meanwhile the dentist I was going to for the last 3 years, who moved out of state, said my gums were measuring consistently the same and my recession was not progressing. This practice will propose work you do not need. I encourage everyone who goes here to get a second opinion. Copy of my email below. Hello, I have made two phone calls and visited in person requesting copies of my dental records. The way you presented the condition of my gums in two areas made it sound like an emergency. I proactively scheduled an appointment with a periodontist as a result of my appointment with you. You recommended thousands of dollars of work to include root planing in two areas. The presentation to me was very sales like. I just had root planing done a year ago. I’m assuming this something I will need to do annually? It is federal law that you must provide me the records yet I am being told it is “up to management.” This IS NOT accurate. I was told I could pick up the records Tuesday. I could not make it. I called this morning and was supposed to receive an email form to authorize the release of my own records to myself. I never received this. I stopped by your office and was again denied my records and not even let into the office. I am requesting my records now a 4th time for my periodontal appointment tomorrow. This has been an extremely frustrating and unnecessary experience. This will all be a part of my review of your business and staff.

1 /5 Chi Town Living: I was hesitant to post my review but after seeing others post similar here is my experience with them: I searched high and low and thought I finally found a dentist office that I could grow a long relationship with but from the very beginning there were communication then billing issues. The dentist Dr Piccolo was marvelous but their billing was extremely questionable, disappointing and misleading. Be aware that when you ask for a copy of proposed work they will ask you to sign it in order to "get a copy" which makes you responsible for anything you sign. If you disagree to signing a copy you will not get a copy. Your calls and emails will go unanswered and they will blame it on staffing. There is no 24hr hotline either so its hard to reach anyone as there appears to be one rep for two locations. They will submit claims to your insurance 2 months after work is performed. I wish that I could continue coming here but as I mentioned their communication and billing practices are very sus. If you do decide to visit here please review all paperwork before signing. Please get more competent staff Dr Piccolo!

4 /5 Kostadin Petroski: EDIT: Im really glad Dr. Piccolo took my concerns very seriously and responded to them very professionally. She is a great dentist and does amazing work. *After resolving the issue, I re-rated from 2 to 4 stars. Twice, my appointments overlapped with another, possibly an emergency or a double booking. I was made to wait over 45+ min for each. After seeing and reading how unsatisfied I was with this experience, Dr. Piccolo personally took this into her own hands and did everything possible to show that this wont happen again. Hopefully moving forward, Family Dental Care will not create conflicting schedules, and if it does happen, they will act accordingly and professionally. I am really hopeful! This is a great practice.

1 /5 Caroline Keane: I was a patent very briefly during the pandemic Now... 2 years later they are sending me a BLANK BILL. I asked for a reason and they wait months and resend! Im appalled. The total lack of professionalism is astounding. If you have ever bought a car you know how it feels to be held hostage, but this time they have you by the teeth! a basic cleaning took well over an hour due to the constant coming and going. lack of preparedness. Trying to upsell me on guards and not listening to my basic requests... I would never go back. and now to be charged without explanation.. calls for the BBB!
