The nail tech Jimmy was really helpful in explaining everything and making recommendations! He did excellent work and even let me try different colors on my nail to see how it actually looked. I got EXACTLY what I asked for and couldnt be happier! Vibe check: on a Wednesday afternoon the shop was quiet, not too crowded. The staff was friendly and professional!

5 /5 Yvia Pulido: I traveled to Chicago for the holiday. I arrived in Chicago on 12/31/24. I did a walk in around 11am. I originally wanted a dip set, I was later educated by the owner and the young Latina about a technique called Build a nail! I was very unsure of this as I was watched an unfamiliar process. The young Latina was amazing and so much more! She took her time, made every nail perfect, was patient with me when I was unsure of the colors. I went with a nice nude pink base, and a clean French tip. I have added a photo of my nails post 5 days and they still look amazing and also natural! Thank you so much! I will be back and I would highly recommend the young Latina and the technique build a nail which is her specialty. I apologize in advance for not remembering your name!

Ginas Magic Nails - Chicago Madelyn Alexander: $60 for a special effect gel polish with a $15 tip. My first time here and everyone was so sweet and efficient. Literally a perfect manicure except for one little bubble on my thumb but that definitely could have been my fault. I’m so obsessed! Fair price for downtown and very quick service. Booked same day, I called about an hour and a half ahead of my appointment. Amazing! I’m so in love love love! I will definitely come back for my next manicure. Tina was amazing, she took great care of my natural nails and shaped them perfectly, checked with me before and after each step to make sure I liked it, and was just the type of service I like. She even took the time to shape my very much smaller pinkie, which other nail techs can’t seem to do well but Tina slayed. I have nothing bad to say except I’d love to get more complex manicures and I wasn’t sure how complex their nail artists can get. But I can’t wait to come back!

Venice Nail Spa - Chicago DeAndrea Matlock: Ive been going to Venice Nails for years now. Any expo picture I’ve shown them they have made it look the exact same… I came on my birthday yesterday and they did such a good job. They got my nails really close to the expo picture.

I dont get my nails done hardly ever so she took extra care to show me the different options for my gelx extensions and some colors i was thinking about. I was very nervous walking in but she took great care of me and looking forward to going back. We Landed on white pearl chrome for my wedding and absolutely love them!

West Loop Nails Spa - Chicago INDIA MCFARLANE: I appreciate the cleanliness of the salon and that the salon handles appointments professionally. Ive been going to Lina for over a year and she is simply the best! She has very strong attention to detail, makes sure my nails are healthy, does not drill them down too much, and does amazing event nails when you want something fancier. She does a dip mani for me once a month and it lasts the whole month, never chips or breaks. Highly recommend!

Vickies Nail Salon - Chicago Sofia Greggio: This is my first time ever leaving a one-star review. I’ve never felt so small and speechless at a nail salon before. I came in and the front desk girl was very nice, she even helped me pick out what color I wanted. She was lovely. The manager sat me down and asked if I wanted anything to drink. He was a bit gruff, but he was also busy. All good so far. Then a lady named Diamond came over and started working on my hands. I was a bit nervous because I was trying dip for the first time and didn’t want it to look too big on my small nail beds. Not only was she impatient, but she snapped at me multiple times when I couldn’t understand her. One nail was so crooked that I asked her multiple times to fix it and she refused. The most she did was take the file and pretend to file it with no change. They ended up looking too big and bulky, and I was on the verge of tears the whole appointment because I was too afraid to ask her to file them down again.

Prestige Nails & Spa - Chicago Olivia Szauer: I was doing acrylic nails for years and my coworker wanted to try dip and she thought we should go together. I was ready for the change in salons and switching away from fake nails. I have been going to Amy for a few months and could not be happier.
