5 /5 TJ Loan: I have gotten my nails done twice by Kenny who does an excellent job. He is very friendly and accommodating. He was able to squeeze me in on a walk in. The place is very clean and relaxing. I was very happy with my acrylics and no chip color that lasted over 3 weeks. I will be returning to have more manicures in the future. I feel that the reviews from over 6 months ago are no longer reflective of the professional quality and workmanship of this business. Make sure the reviews you are reading are current before making a decision about this place. I love it.

1 /5 Luke Galupo: I was planning on being a regular here because whoever did my nails the first time I went did amazing and I need to get my nails done regularly for work, however, when I went the second time the person doing my nails acted as if i was bothering him for just being there. He angrily filed my nails to the point of it being incredibly painful and ripped parts of my nails off, he made all of my nails uneven and missed spots with the polish then had an attitude with me while I was paying afterwards. I never said anything to him expect what color I wanted so i dont know what his issue was. I shouldve asked for a refund due to the way my nails looked after and the pain i had to physically endure. I was made to feel incredibly uncomfortable and will never be back or recommend this place to anyone.

Design Nails & Spa - Sycamore Alex Wenger: I tried to use a gift card I received for Christmas at a pretty well frequented nail salon in downtown Sycamore called Design Nails & Spa. I went to receive a pedicure this past Tuesday evening and am now on a 7 day treatment for MRSA per my primary care physician. I work at a hospital and already was fearful about the possible risk of infection, despite them using sanitary prepackaged tools they opened in front of me. They literally cut both my big toe nails (curved not square as necessary for pedicures to prevent an infection or ingrown toenail) all the way down into my nail bed and my left foot was bleeding. Not only that but the technician left before I was out of my chair and after requesting only a clear coat asked if I wanted color after he had already cut off a sizable portion of my large toenails. Not only was I not given a refund, but they downplayed the entire situation. They said what do you want us to do? The nail is already gone. They even called me after I left and had them take pictures in an attempt to rectify the situation in some way by offering me to come back in 3 weeks for a free pedicure. To be clear I would NEVER let them touch my feet again. I called the Health Department and they dont even investigate nail salons in the state of Illinois. You have to go through the state to make a report. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, always go to a reputable source that you know keeps updated licenses and truly cares about the health, integrity, sanitation and quality care of your body!!! Had I had a choice I would have gone to Alyssa at Lyss Laid It. Absolutely an unforgivable customer experience. Please save yourself the worry and possibility of infection or something worse and do not frequent this establishment.

Sarah Nails Design - DeKalb Dana Olivo: Finally, after searching for a long time since moving out this way, I found a fabulous nail salon. Sarah is great! I highly recommend her. I got a pedicure and french manicure and was in and out within an hour.

USA Nails - Sycamore Jazmin Ruiz: Been coming to this location for a year now. The owners are gentle on the hands and keep your nails looking natural. Ann always does my designs and impresses me every time. Great prices and customer service. Im always leaving out of there with a good laugh.

Leza Nail Spa DeKalb - DeKalb Anayeli Victoria: Really great service! I’ve been coming here for quite some time now and I love how my nails always turn out. I always recommend Tracy among others but I love how she takes her time and tries to perfect the nail art as much possible to your inspo picture. Love this place!

Studio 25 - Sycamore Stafford Meredith (Meredith): Amazing salon! From entry to completion, I felt welcomed, relaxed and confident. LA’s loss is Sycamore’s gain when it comes to Alexia. She is an amazing stylist from cut to color to updos. Alexia’s passion for hair, nails and charming personality, all make for lifelong stylist and client relationship. I will never go anywhere else again.

DK Nail Spa - DeKalb Aniya Lightford: If I could give 1 stars I would. First the Chinese man told me it was $55 then upped $5 more onto the price at the end and told me the $55 was the “fill-in” price. But why are you telling me fill in prices when I need a full set & asked. I can see later if you shared the other prices but no. Then my pedicure was $55 and was done in 10 min. Nail shop really outdated & the acrylic application is terrible. Nail polish job on my toes terrible. They re use an old purple pumice stone. And they say $55 is basic if you want all dead skin off you have to get a more expensive pedicure. Absolutely insane. Then when I explained I didn’t like it and left my wallet there and leave out the store. I check my phone for my air tag on my wallet and it’s in the store and they denied it!! Once I told them I was calling the police, my wallet was turned into the police department 10 min later. They are THEIFS. said their cameras don’t work too many other nail salons to go to instead of here. And the job is terrible

Flawless Touch - Sycamore - DeKalb Ewelina Myrda: Lexi is the absolute BEST! For the first time I decided to use a non-Polish hairstylist and it was the best choice I could have made. She is professional, caring, empathetic and despite my poor English, she was very nice and understanding. I love my new color and I already have another appointment scheduled. I highly recommend it.

Imagine Salon - Sycamore Alexa Farris: Ive been going to Sal and Tammy since I was a little girl, and they truly feel like family. Sal always does an incredible job with my blonde highlights—I always leave feeling amazing!! As I’ve moved over the years around the country I have truly waited to get my hair done until I was visiting home so I could go to Imagine. From homecoming to prom to my wedding day, they’ve been there for all my most important moments too. Their prices have remained fair over the years and the quality of service is unmatched. If youre looking for talented, kind, funny and experienced stylists, I cant recommend them enough!

VP NAILS - DeKalb Ari: The service is not terrible but they pick and choose when they want to overcharge. I got a full set done a few weeks ago and paid $65 for the style. Came back 2 weeks later for a fill in and yes all nails stayed in tact but they charged me $70 for a fill in with a similar style and I didn’t add anything more. Very confusing and disappointing because the nails aren’t terrible( why I gave it two stars) but their prices make no sense.
