1 /5 Karina Lopez: I went in last week for a simple color change and some self care time. Don was my nail tech and he made the experience awful. First he painted one nail and asked if I liked the color. For reference I am color blind and struggle choosing colors. I responded that I’d like to change it and he was immediately upset. He told me there were no other browns to choose from in the entire salon. I asked for the blue book and chose a brown I knew I liked from there. When he was painting my nails I noticed the polish had indents and it was peeling off (as seen in the first picture below). He buffed the nails and started over. He did this twice when I finally asked if maybe there was something wrong with the nail polish. He raised his voice and said “no, you did that. You did that!” I asked if I was doing something wrong and he said i was not putting my hand far enough under the UV light. When I put my hand in again I asked if it was ok. He responded with “idk.” I left in tears with a terrible manicure and nail polish all over my hands. The receptionists helped buff the nail polish off and offered me a $5 discount but by that point I just wanted to get out of the shop!
First 2 pictures are my nails immediately after the appointment.
Third and fourth picture are my nails 6 days later.
