Sheila Lyn The staff there is very gentle and hones in on your body language while working on your teeth. Meaning they realize when they hit a sensitive area and are cautious. I highly recommend and been a patient for 3 years

Mayra Reyes I never leave reviews but this is how bad my experience was! DO NOT COME HERE! Unless your willing to get work done the wrong way and then have to go to a different dentist to fix their problems(at your own cost) because they refuse to help! Had a root canal with Dr. Khan had a not so great experience with her. She did the service it was bothering me went back all she can say it looks good but if it keeps bothering you make an endodontist if it stops then dont worry about it. Well the pain stopped and I didnt think to much of it. Fast forward some time I had a different dental emergency and their office was closed so I decided to go to a different dentist to take care of the dental emergency. At this time I was informed that my root canal crown was not placed right & their is an infection and should be replaced by the original person who did it. The 2nd dentist also told me a second different crown was not placed right wither and needs to be replaced as well. Went to the office a day dr khan was not their and they gave me a referral for Endo. Well endo tells me it needs to be retreated as there a a HUGE infection and an absses. I right away make the appointment to get root canal redone. When it was being redone the endo dr informs me that the original root canal was not done appropriately "one of the canals was not cleaned and the crown was placed wrong and needs to be redone" I call advance dental about this of course they ask for records from Endo. It was provided. Then get a call that they cant do nothing about it because I was referred to endo previously and its been to long. When they told me to go to endo they also said "if it keeps bothering you" so it didnt bother me and this infection was found by a different provider. The fact that they werent bothering me and this was accidentally found by a different provider. The different provider didnt even want to do the work they said go back to your original doctor who did them! That was a sign of good faith that they were not looking for money. They were actually concerned the work wasnt done appropriately. But advance dental keeps refusing to do anything "as every dentist has a different opinion" well yes they do but being told by a different dentist and a endo specialist that it was done wrong is 2 against one and yet they keep making all sorts of excuses on how they didnt do anything wrong. Now I get it not everyone is perfect, if they would have taken a different approach like sorry it was placed wrong let me fix it. But no they are playing the card that they didnt do anything wrong. I REPEAT DO NOT COME HERE! LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES!

Sharon Russell I have been a patient with Dr. Gabriella Paolucci since the early 2000s and again from 2012 through 2023. I retired and my insurance changed. If I didnt say this clearly before then I will say it again. I have not found another that even comes close to the excellent service I received. The quality of the dental expertise and knowledge is superb. My mom is now a patient and she is very happy with the service she has received. When my mom was told she would need to have a tooth pulled and a implant, she went to Dr. Paolucci who repaired that tooth and 2 other teeth. I highly recommend Dr. Paolucci for all your dental needs.

Gabriela Nunez I recently had a cleaning at a new dental office, and I had an amazing experience! I was greeted by Kelly and Lisa, who were super friendly. My hygienist, Donna, and I hit it off right away. We had a great chat during the appointment. Donna was incredibly caring and so nice! I had to bring both of my little boys in, but the staff was so accommodating and offered to watch them while I got my cleaning done. That was a huge plus, as not many offices offer that kind of support. The office itself was very clean and well-organized. I also met Dr. Lakota, who was very friendly and welcoming. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at this office. It’s hard to find a good dental office to trust, but I highly recommend this office to anyone looking for one! It’s an excellent experience. I’d give it 10 out of 10! Thank you all for making this experience so great. ❤️

Alicia McCareins Dr. Mike Lakota epitomizes everything great in a service provider, especially in an area like dentistry that is not naturally viewed as positive. He is skillful, thorough, uses consultants when needed to cover all bases, and made an extremely difficult situation for me after an accident end up fantastic — providing me with a great smile in the process. He is patient and caring, and his pricing is fair and competitive. Like Dr. Lakota, his staff is excellent with clients and makes me feel special at every visit to his beautiful office. I recommend him without reservations.

Lydia Jean I’ve been going to Today’s Dental for a little over a year now. They’ve been nothing but professional and helpful. I read a lot of poor reviews about the desk staff, but I’ve only had good experiences. Yes at times they may be short with an answer when busy tackling other tasks, but never rude. The first time they won me over is when I couldn’t afford a root canal they gave me a great reference to an affordable orthodontist who did a fantastic job! The second time was just yesterday. I have been having some nerve pain in one of my back molars and the staff was able to get me in right away to see Dr. Raunak Patel. It was my first experience with him and I’ll be pushing to see him from here on out. He was super attentive, really listened to what was bothering me and offered reasonable solutions on how to fix my tooth pain. Then immediately took action! Same day, seen, heard and fixed! Today my tooth feels great and I couldn’t be happier with my experience.

Daredevil Dr. Patel was extremely accommodating. He took his time, listened with intent, and provided care that felt both personal and precise. Sheila, the hygienist, did a fantastic job with my cleaning. Highly recommend.

Paul Balbach So I went to this dentist three times. Two of my three visits they would be working in my mouth, and I would be feeling pain and they would continue to work. One time I almost jumped out of the chair because they hit a nerve. And at no point did they stop and rename my mouth. So then I made a complaint to my insurance company and the insurance company told them about my complaint and they refused to take me as a customer even though they had put a temporary crown in my mouth and now I have to find a new dentist to fix the things that they messed up. The side of my tongue is very raw and sore because the feeling they put in is too sharp. They literally had three people trying to work in my mouth as the numbing agent was wearing off because it was the end of the day and they wanted to go home. They literally told me I could not come back as a patient because I complained about them working in my mouth when I was in pain. Do not go to this clinic. I specifically remember even the dental assistants Whispering because the dentist did something wrong to the tooth and they could not get the crown to stick. I repeat do not go to this dentist. Do yourself a favor. So now we have had to edit this post because these are lies being told by this dentist office. Blue Cross and Blue Shield informed me that this office has charged for work that was never done. Literally the definition of Fraud charging for a service that you did not provide. And this is directly from Blue Cross and Blue shield. Also the fact that this woman is trying to say that I called and told them I would never come to their office outright lies. They directly called me and told me that they would not provide care for me anymore because I made a complaint. So in the eyes of the insurance company again, Blue Cross and Blue shield. In the eyes of the insurance company the exact words that they used were retaliatory. Do not go to this dentist office. I have had pain in my mouth for a month and a half due to work that they did not finish and charge my insurance company so now I cant go to another dentist and get the problem fixed because supposedly this office already billed and was paid for this.

The care and compassion is exceptional and is beneficial in my ongoing treatments for my unique condition. Melissa Johnson I called Boulevard Place dental for an emergency extraction and they were able to get me in right away. The staff were so friendly and made me feel at ease even though dental work makes me nervous. They were willing to work with me to figure out what I needed to be comfortable throughout the process -- how much to explain (or in my case, not explain), finding a non-mint flavored numbing agent, and more. I dont like dental work but the dentist and her tech were so kind and sweet and made me feel comfortable and I really do appreciate that after some bad experiences elsewhere. The whole process was quick and they answered all my questions about post-op care. I have definitely found my new dentist office.

Erin McKay Used to go here when it was still Hammes. Sad to see all the staff changed. Went about half a year ago. I expressed concerns with my jaw we it kept getting stuck and they were brushed off. I had to point out that I may have a cavity for them to even look. They didn’t apply the numbing solution correctly, or even enough for me, then got mad when I flinched in pain from the drill. Friendly, but not as professional as I would have hoped. Looking elsewhere.

Julia Schade The people are always so pleasant here. Tracy is excellent at reception and I have had the pleasure of dealing with her in the past and she is always excellent. Anyone that I have dealt with by phone and face to face is always attentive, pleasant and cause me to smile. On my last visit, besides Tracy there was a blonde girl by Tracy and again she was as Tracy was and a pleasure to talk with but I forgot her name, I do apologize for that because she was also so personable and she needs a shout out too. Now I saw Isaiah for my 3 month cleaning, he was a new hygienist as he just started there I believe in July 2024, and he was , knowledgeable, friendly, personable and my cleaning was great! Any questions I had regarding my teeth and up coming services he knew about because he read my chart which was great! And I scheduled my next cleaning with him! My appointment was extremely timely and I walked out of there saying this was too easy Peary whats wrong as Tracy and Blondie(lol) not her real name, laughed with me as I left. I highly recommend this office for your dental needs. I have dealt with them for a few years and I am not going anywhere else for my dental needs.

Mary Simeone Ive been taking my son to Dr Rita since he was a toddler and he is now 18yrs old. Dr Rita and her wonderful staff always go above and beyond in providing excellent and informative service. They are very friendly and caring and always take their time to explain everything thoroughly. You will always feel valued as one of their patients. Her office space inside and out are beautifully decorated and very calming. The back waiting area is a kids wonderland complete with a well organized special incentive gift station that the children can choose gifts from after their visit. This was always one of my sons favorite parts of his visit that he looked forward to. We cant recommend Dr. Rita and her staff highly enough. The folks at the front desk were very kind and helpful and the actual office was clean and very inviting. The hygienist was super knowledgeable and very clearly passionate about their work and went out of their way to ease any concerns I had. Dr Parikh was equally passionate and shared all the information about my dental health in an easily understandable way and answered all my questions.

Sierra Marie Jackie/Jaqui (not sure how her name is spelt) was amazing! I have extremely sensitive teeth and she made sure I was nice and comfortable, and that was the first time I did not squirm during a cleaning due to pain, it was near painless. They are all very nice people in there.

Irma Aragon We moved after 16 years of being with the same dentist and maybe that’s why my experience was not great, I scheduled online and filled out the paperwork, the day of the first appointment found out paperwork was not saved, I did paperwork Again, to find out the receptionist didn’t upload it, for the third time I filled it out in a tablet. Then I schedule online a Saturday only to find out, they’re closed on Saturdays, then I received a big bill, I took it to my appointment and the bill was not processed thru the insurance, all this issues was thru the appointments of 4 member of our family, all of them first time.

Shana Schell Like others have said 1 star is more then they deserve... I got my wisdom teeth pulled over 2 months ago. While I was there they acted like they did an X-ray (that I had to pay for out of pocket) because they said they never got the X-rays from my dentist who scheduled my appointment for me, whatever. But I have yet to see a claim through my insurance. I called a month ago they said they sent the claim to the wrong Delta Dental of Illinois and that is was sent off to the right one... Here we are another month out and still no claim. Im beyond livid as I had to pay cash for the entire procedure. About 1000$ they said my insurance wouldnt cover. I pay cash for my insurance and find that hard to believe as well. So I will be calling every hour today until I get answers.

Itzel Heidler I called for an appointment to get all 4 wisdom teeth extractions. Shelly was the person I spoke with. First off, I am glad I had the bad experience over the phone with her because if this is the type of attitude the front desk receptionist has towards potential clients I dont want to find out what the service is like for actual clients. Shelly had a snippy attitude, not patient at all, sounded rushed/annoyed over the phone and was not pleasant at all. I read all the 1 star reviews AND still decided to give them a chance by trying to book an appointment with them. Heres a tip : Please re-train Shelly in her customer service skills because it is costing the company money. I will be taking my business elsewhere. Edit 01/28/2025 Reply to this business response to my review:: You are correct, I am not a patient and will NEVER visit this office but I am still allowed to review the interaction I had with your staff over the phone. As per my review, I never stated that I was a patient or that I visited the office in person (reading is fundamental). My 1 star review is not based on the fact that the receptionist asked me the state of my insurance its the fact that she was annoyed because she had to do her job. I had zero issues scheduling a consultation with a different oral surgeon.

angela debell I just want to start this review off with a positive note about especially after reading some of these other untruthful reviews about money and payments etc… 2 weeks ago I had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Sheive who was absolutely professional and well experienced. His staff as well is very professional. I think people have a hard time with maybe “how direct” they are! But the are a private network that does work with Medicaid and they will let you know right up front how much you will be paying out of pocket. Yes, because they are a PRIVATE network catch that word that you will have to pay some out of pocket fees. So don’t expect free! Medicaid does not mean free!!!! Not here!!! And yes, it does take a few weeks for them to work with the insurance company to get you into their clinic, so have some patience! If you can’t wait and can’t pay…. Go else where! But I felt they were VERY professional and did an amazing job! I am having no issues again as it has been a couple weeks post surgery!! Thanks Joliet Oral Surgeons for relieving my pain!!

Dan I’ve been seen by two different endodontist’s over the years and by far, Endodontic & Periodontic of Joliet is excellent. Over 10 years ago, I had a root canal done by them and most recently I had a tooth pulled and an implant done. Both times, they took the time to explain to me what they were going to do and I didn’t feel like they were rushing to get me in and out like the other endodontist. They treat you like a person not just a cash cow.

Liddy Hope The doctor was good, clear and direct and very kind. The communication around the entire procedure and the bill has been like something out of the Twilight Zone. Unclear, inadequate and incomplete are the best ways to describe the communication. They are all very nice, but still unclear. The Joliet office is also pretty outdated if thats of relevance for you. The Homewood office is much more updated.

keona stallings Do not go to this office! My appointment was at 12, I got there at 11:58… I’m sitting in there til 1:30 and I still hadn’t been seen by the dentist! I got up and left! That’s ridiculous! Only went for a checkup and cleaning. The wait time is by far too long and they were not even busy! Promptness is clearly something they do NOT care about.

Cody Flissar Worst Dentist in Joliet, they tried telling me I need root canals on two teeth that OBVIOUSLY can be filled. U can clearly see that when u look at the two. Filled a bunch of teeth that didnt even have cavities on them to begin with. As far as any pian I didnt have a problem but I honestly NOT RECOMMEND this Dentist especially if you only have Medicaid smh...
