James Edwards Took a 20hp outboard in to have it gone through as I just received it with a fishing boat I bought. After two weeks I called and was told they had ordered a carb kit. A few weeks later I was told the kit was never ordered. Fast forward to today I was able to pick up the motor. Once home I had oil inside the bed of my truck. Found they striped the screw on the lower unit. Instead of fixing it they left it. Highly recommend you go somewhere else to have any service done.

Mike Staley For fast, quality, affordable, and HONEST service, you simply cant do better than Johns. I had a battery issue. I had it tested at a local auto parts store and took the results to another location I will not name. They wanted me to make an appointment for the following week to run a full diagnostic, for $175, before even telling me what the problem is. And they wouldve had my car the whole day just to run this diagnostic. I went to Johns, pretty late in the afternoon, and they said bring it back in the morning. I was there when they opened. Even though I know there were other people already booked, Johns team had it figured out, fixed, and had me on my way in 90 minutes. Also to find out that my battery charge was dropping so fast, it wouldnt have made it to that other appointment "next week". John and his team will never try to upsell you, never repair more than what immediately needs to be, and advise you on any issues that might not need immediate repair, but to keep an eye on. Integrity above all. Never look anywhere else.

EV I cant say enough good things about this shop. Ken always goes out of his way to find the time and most cost-effective solutions to your car repair needs. It’s rare to find someone this honest, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring about their customers. It’s obvious he takes real pride in his work. If you’re looking for a mechanic who truly goes above and beyond, this is the place. I won’t be taking my car anywhere else.

David Sabo My name is David Sabo. Been a customer of Belvidere Auto Clinic since they opened this business. Been awhile but I read all the reviews. I am astounded at the few people leaving sub par reviews. People, if you’re gonna take the time to leave a review be sure to leave it with the right business you went to. If Ken doesn’t have you in his books it’s because you were never there. I believe in Ken, his work, his knowledge, his trust and his pricing is one of the best to be found. So if you want to leave a review with this business please don’t confuse them with Belvidere Auto Maintenance. These two businesses are located on the same street and there names are nearly the same but their not affiliated with each other. So people, read your paper work before you post a stupid comment. You won’t find a more honest and trustworthy mechanic in Belvidere.

Chris Weiand Steer clear of these clowns, their work is horrible and customer service even worse. The work performed looks like a middle school kid did the work. Stevie Wonder could do a better job. You tell them what is needed, and they forget, dont write anything down, had the car for 2+weeks while we were out on vacation. Come home and still not done. Then tell me to bring the car back, I do. And they buff it out thinking that will fix it. Only to get compound on the plastic and stain it. Put a mark on the hood, which wasnt even damaged. Then youd think they would call you to make it right.... no such thing. I wouldnt let these guys touch my grandsons big-wheel!

Marco Antonio If i could give 0 stars i would. Only used them since they are located in my area. They had my car for over a week and a half & for 2-3 days of work, with no updates given to me during this time. I had to take it back after i got it back because the “new” bumper was damaged and the paint was bubbling where they did work. This is when they had it for 6 more days. I Also noticed they drove my car without my permission as i have an airtag on my fob and in vehicle, this i thought was the most unprofessional thing i encountered not to mention the customer service, what customer service????. I am all for local small businesses but I would stay clear of this place, I would NEVER trust them to do any kind of work to anyones car. Look at all this overspray on my windows that will not come off, they did not replace the PPF (clear film protectant that goes over the door and handle. Buffing compound everywhere, received my car back with their tools in my car, dusty dash and broken push pins on my shield.

Shelli Offhaus Marv and his team were incredibly kind! I was stuck with a leaky gas tank and the shop down the road sent me here. I’m so glad they did! They took care of the problem and took care of me. I can’t recommend them enough.

patrick skorupski Absolutely horrible experience with the sales manager, Kerry. I had purchased a 23’ GMC 2500 Denali and it was delivered with bald tires, dents on tailgate, multi function tailgate does NOT open (was told that should be covered by warranty), several scratches on the front and rear bumper as well as the passenger side door area. 3 holes drilled in bed rail from previous owners tool box. Within 3 weeks of purchase I can now only go 55mph due to emissions system issues. I now have to bring my truck in for service for an unspecified amount of time. When I contacted the dealer to discuss my concerns as it was being delivered he said I would need to speak with the manager, Kerry, who told me Kunes would not be able to do anything to address my issues. Overall, I have been very disappointed with the process and customer service After the sale. Use caution if you are considering Kunes for your next automobile purchase

Extremely polite, service was quick, he told me exactly what I needed, why, how long it would last, and when I should see a Grease Monkey again. Overall such a great experience! Give that man a raise asap; he deserves it!

Mike Mendelson My car was hit in Rockford, IL. and my car was towed by chance to Gerber Collision And Glass in Belvidere. I was not from that area and very unsure as to what to do. Margie and Spencer at Gerber were amazing! When I spoke to Spencer he told me not to worry. He called the tow truck, who gave me a ride to Gerber with my car. When I arrived Margie explained the process and said they would be in touch after accessing all the damage. During the repair process, Spencer would call and inform me of the process and what had to be done next. I NEVER had to call them for an update, Spencer always beat me to it. I licked my car up and I was like the accident never happened. Margie took car of one little issue that was due to an insurance approval. She got it taken care of immediately. The team there is great!

Joseph Goff Had a nail in my tire, immediately before a road trip. Didnt know until I was leaving to head out. Integrity was the closest garage to me early in the morning. I dropped in and was taken care of IMMEDIATELY. I was in and out in 5 minutes. Thad was the only employee there when I arrived and was super helpful. I will be bringing all my auto business here in the future. Great people.

Arielle Absolutely amazing service! I was passing through town and got a nail in my tire and they were able to help me right away and help get me back on the road. They also noticed something on my car that another auto shop had missed and it was a huge blessing and I was able to get that fixed when I got back to my destination as well. Could not thank them enough! Great service and great, kind, helpful, and knowledge people to work with!

Nz Wizz Had one of my side covers on my classic Norton Commando motorcycle come off while riding. Got recommended to call Riley from a well know local motor cycle dealer. Best choice ever, explained what happened to him and he was very understanding. Took my side cover out to him and with in a few weeks it was repaired, painted and buffed like nothing had happened. Very reasonable price. These guys do a lot of bikes as well as cars. If you have any questions just give them a call, you wont be disappointed

Lee Carpenter Logan avenue mobile did an outstanding job getting my vehicle fixed and back on the road after i broke down off the highway and didnt gauge me on the price the owner even took my family to a local restraint while my vehicle was being worked on i would highly recommend this business. Hands down the best service and quality work Ive ever gotten out of a repair shop. Thanks a lot guys. Even though they didnt even have a bay open got a floor Jack and worked on my truck out in the sun and heat.

Denny Schrader SHOUT OUT! To the owner of, Belvidere Auto Maintenance 320 West Locust, Don Barnes! After getting a routine service cost estimate from a dealer. I thought Id get a second opinion. Don discovered that not only was the dealer cost crazy high, it wasnt needed at all. Ill never be back to that dealer. Its very comforting to know there is a business owner who places integrity & honesty over the dollar bill. I highly recommend you stop in and see Don for any of your auto needs! Hes a straight shooter!

Lindsay Nicole I paid $90 for a diagnostic bc I wanted a 2nd opinion. I gave the cashier a coupon $20 off of any service over $40. He said I could not use that coupon bc “technically they didn’t do any work.” I could use it if I chose to get the full $1,000+ repair done there. I did not feel like arguing over $20, not worth my energy, but I feel that is a bad practice to not honor a coupon for “any service,” especially as he could see in my account, I’m regularly there synthetic oil changes.

Tom Barkmann Predatory tow company will not let you have access to your vehicle unless you give them an excessive amount of money an they accrue charges over the weekend but they are not open on the weekend.

Jazmin Tapia The most expensive auto repair shop! Towing fees are ridiculous. It’s dirty and disgusting in there. Not to mention the location is wrong and takes you to another location. Took my business elsewhere.
