  • Image Nails - Chicago Victoria Brown Cress: I held off long enough before writing as I gave them a chance to correct the problem. I am so incredibly disappointed with my experience at Image Nail Salon. I paid $65 for a no-chip manicure with dip powder holo on top, which always lasts at least 3 weeks—sometimes even a month. I get this exact manicure regularly, but my usual place was closed, so I decided to give Image a try. What a huge mistake and complete waste of time! The initial appointment took 2 hours(norm is 1 hr or under), even though they assured me it wouldn’t take more than an hour. Because of this and their incompetence, I came back to work late. To make matters worse, the manicure chipped within 2 days! I went back to have it fixed, and they had to redo every single nail because all of them were chipping. Not just one. I could maybe understand but nope. Either the tech is awful or polish supplies is old. Or both, which is what I’m banking on. The same technician who originally messed up was assigned to redo my nails, which made no sense. She was extremely rough and caused me pain—I’ve never been hurt at any nail salon before. To top it off, her bosses were berating her, and she seemed to take out her frustration on me. It was so uncomfortable and unprofessional. On all parts. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. Just go down the block where the staff are experts and actually value your time. Literally 4 nail salons within 1 block of this trash can. This experience was a nightmare from start to finish. Never again!
Old Town Nails - Chicago Laura Cempellin: I dont usually take the time to write reviews but felt like I really needed to because I was so impressed with the longevity of my dip manicure. I was visiting Chicago and got my dip manicure done by Susan. She was fantastic! I got my manicure on September 20th and just got my nails done again on OCTOBER 29th. Obviously my nails had a lot of outgrowth after over a month, but not a single chip or uplift or snag. I have since contemplated flying to Chicago to get my nails done again. The first photo is immediately after and the 2nd is over a month later. Wish I lived in Chicago so I could get my nails done by Susan all the time!
Tokyo Nails-West Loop - Chicago Belinda Chang: Going to Tokyo Nails for the most creative, gorgeous and artistic nails has been my favorite splurge for three years. Art takes time and patience and our resulting collaborations bring so much joy and the compliments I get from around the world are always worth it. Their nails are always red carpet ready
Chamin Nail Studio - Chicago Rachel M: Possibly one of the best manicures Ive ever had. The aesthetic / vibe is a little lacking and the place was freezing but I still give it 5 stars because the service itself was honestly that good. These pictures are a full 7 days AFTER my regular polish service; no chipping or bubbling, cuticles still look great and no peeling.
3 In 1 Nails & Spa - Chicago Emma K: Cassie did my nails and she was great! She paid a lot of attention to detail and gave me exactly what I wanted. Will report back in a few weeks to see how they held up! (Included inspiration pic as well) Service received: Spa Gel Manicure
Main Street Shear Perfection - Robinson T.J. Blackburn: I just moved to this area and was unsure where to get established with a new hairdresser. On my first visit, Hayley, the owner colored and trimmed my hair. Hayley was very sweet and my hair turned out great. It was also a pleasure to be in a salon that is in such a beautiful historic building.
Polished Salon - Robinson ADDISON Cruz.: We visited the clothing shop not the salon. They have a good selection of spring and summer clothing already in stock.
Do or Dye Beauty Bar & Lounge - Robinson Chandler Dorjahn: Scheduled a 1pm appointment at 10:30am. Got there right at 1. Was told that I would be helped shortly at that point. Waited a whole 18 minutes and when I stood at the counter, the one other girl that was there and busy with someone else asked if I had been helped. I said yes and that I was waiting. I heard them talking in the back and asking where the girl that was supposed to cut my hair was. I waited until 1:25ish and asked about an update. Said the girl was on her way there… TO THE BUSINESS! People have jobs to get to and can’t wait 30-40 minutes to even start a hair cut. My lunch hour thankfully is one hour long. I walked out at that point. I rearranged my whole lunch for this! Morals of scheduling and being on time don’t apply to them. EDIT: Owner reached out to me and attempted at least to make it right. I can understand that an owner/manager over these employees despite all efforts cannot control the actions of their employees at all times.
Bladez Salon & Day Spa - Robinson Stefanie F: Brittany is the best. She always does a great job on my cut and color.
Not Just Nails & Tanning - Robinson Erin Stevenson: Ive been going for years. Good quality and service. Each stylist is different, but I wont go anywhere else unless my girls do
