Angela Reynolds My car had an issue that 2 other mechanics were unable to determine. Brandon is Amazing, he was able to diagnose the issue and repair it. The repair was reasonably priced and I am mobile again thanks to B & B Automotive. I would Highly Recommend to anyone needing a knowledgeable mechanic.

Don Hughes This was my first experience dropping a vehicle off at the shop on Neil St. I recently purchased some tires online and Car-X was recommended as the installer. I confirmed the appointment a couple days in advanced and dropped my Jeep off first thing that morning. My appointment was for 10am and so I was expecting to receive a call around noon or so that my vehicle would be ready for pick up. Instead, I received a call around 1:30p from someone stating that my tires couldnt be mounted because they were reverse mount and that they didnt and plastic protecters for their tire mount, which was on backorder. The person further stated that he would call around to a different shop to see is they could mount my tires. I thought that was cool gesture, but I never heard anything back until called over an hour and a half later. I was then told that the manager was too tied up to get back with me and that it couldnt be done at the shop. After going to the shop and seeing a couple cars in the bays, I started thinking about this incident. I believe I wasted my time dropping off my vehicle at this shop and believe that they could have contacted my sooner, which would have allowed me call around on my own to get my tires mounted. It only took me a few minutes to find a reputable tire shop that had the proper parts to mount my tires. The only good experience I had at Car-X on Neil St. was the technician who assisted me in getting my tires into vehicle. 2-stars from me man!!

Carmen Told my wife it was 500 for a Subaru battery. She said that was too much and then they immediately said “ok 250.” Wait what? Sign in lobby says free battery install. They charged 50. They will try to take from you whatever they can take.

Moonlight Dancing Chad and his crew are exceptional good. I have had them work on my vehicle several times. When my transmission went out, they wasted no time getting me back on the road, a day sooner than expected! I highly recommend taking your vehicle to Chad and his crew for all your vehicle needs.

Daniel Dumler I recently moved to Champaign IL and was unfamiliar with the local auto-body and repair services. I received numerous recommendations from friends in the area to look at Fifth Dimension for the repair service. After working with insurance who conveniently also recommended Fifth Dimension, I decided to pull the trigger with this company. For a first time experience having to have auto-body repairs completed, Fifth Dimension made it easy and clear what exactly was to be expected throughout the entire process and the charges associated. From the hours and availability for drop off and pick up, to the employees who greeted me and conversed with me at the shop, I was very impressed. No question went unanswered, and the service was completed sooner than expected. Communication was effective, and not overdone like some places. On the delivery of the finished vehicle, it was absolutely spotless and looked as good, if not slightly better, as when I purchased the vehicle new. I will absolutely be recommending Fifth Dimension to family and friends moving forward, and if my vehicle just so happens to be damaged again in the future (Respectfully, I hope not!), I wont skip a beat to return to Fifth Dimension.

Rob Conley The level of service was first class all the way. Kelly kept me informed on every step and I couldnt be more satisfied with the work. As an example of how dedicated they are the first bumper cover ordered contained a small paint defect that I would have never noticed but Bob (who did the repairs) did and they replaced it. I couldnt be more pleased.

Noel Truong My car was backed up into and the front bumper and fender was damaged. Took it to Caliber Collision and in about 1.5 week got the car back like new! And when I said "like new" it was LIKE NEW. The bumper had to be re-painted and the guys went the extra miles to cover up a few random scratches around the car too. They totally didnt have to do that, but they DID! Customer service was on point, I would go here again (hopefully i dont have to)!

Jess M The guys at Caliber did a great job fixing my truck after it was damaged in a storm. They fixed my roof, rear passenger side door, and windshield. The process was fast and they were great at sending me updates. I appreciate all their hard work and will use them for any future car body repairs.

Kristin Wright They were able to get our alternator replaced really quickly. The price was reasonable as well. This is the second time we have had work done by Perfect Touch and both times we have been very happy with the work!

Andrew Zasada Ricky is Amazingly fabulous. I have a twenty two year old car that im trying to rehab. I dont know how he does it, but he always gets whatever parts I need. He diagnoses exactly what the problem is and doesnt try to push anything else. He schedules his work, but he promises to get you in and out quickly - "freaky fast". Ricky and his staff are trustworthy, they do excellent work. They fix it the first time and do it right, and they do it for a lot less than other places. I Cant see going anywhere else. Its been two years Since I posted my last review. My car is now 24 years old. Ricky and his team keep it running like new. Rickys reputation has spread and hes become busier, but he always has time for established clients. Expert Service and price keeps me coming back.

Paul Kaiser Fast, friendly service at a great price. My rear brakes were shot, then I got in an accident that messed up the front end. A body shop finished up the accident work, but then my brakes seemed even worse. The Brake Shop figured out my problem quickly, explained it so I could understand, then told me how much it would cost to fix so I could decide. Since parts were available in town, they were able to finish the work the same day. Really nice guy.

Jiayang Lin I never go out of my way to leave reviews, but I feel compelled to leave one after this experience. My car’s alternator failed the other day, and I called around a couple shops to see who could take me without an appointment. My friends and family that I spoke to told me it should be around 300-400 to replace and fix (labor included). I was also told that because the part was near the top, it should only take an hour or so to fix. I called Rick’s and they said they could look at my car the next day. Unfortunately, I did not ask for a quote from Rick’s — I really should’ve because it would’ve saved me from this disaster. I get a call the next day, and get quoted $1379.96 for an oil change, alternator replacement, and a serpentine belt replacement. I do NOT have that type of money. I asked for just the alternator and was still quoted $962.47 — $326.00 for the part and over $400.00 in labor costs. I find it really hard to believe it would’ve taken three hours to replace a part near the top, and they wanted to charge me an additional hour of labor ($115.00) for charging the battery. At this point, I called a different shop and was quoted $370.00 for the same service (ended up being $353.16) and I was in and out of the other shop in less than an hour. I also didn’t even need a belt replacement! The craziest part of it all is that when I came to Rick’s to take my car to the other shop, everything in my glove compartment and my central console was completely emptied out onto the passenger seat. It wasn’t neatly placed either, everything looked like it had been tossed randomly into the seat. I have never been to a shop that had needed to access anything in either area to fix something in the hood of the car. I also noticed that they had stolen my perfume from out of the glove compartment — not super expensive so it doesn’t matter, but it makes me wonder what else they stole. The only positive about this experience was Danielle, who was helpful with breaking down the costs for me. However, I felt like I was being scammed as a female college student, and I do not recommend anyone, especially other UIUC students, come here. Please save yourself the time and the money from the diagnostic fee of $121.00 (for a diagnosis that I literally told them on the phone previously) and don’t come here!

Khloe Williams This place is absolutely amazing I drive a Range Rover sport and go to school in Champaign where there are no Land Rover dealerships so I called around and no local shops even Midas could work on my car until I was recommended ricks by another local mechanic and I had my car towed there and they fixed it in a matter of hours!! Their prices are very reasonable they are very transparent which is amazing considering im a college student away from home and they work on and have experience working with luxury brand vehicles!!! I will 110% be going back to this place whenever my car needs servicing especially in a pinch!! 10/10 recommend!!

Marianne Baker These guys do great work and go the extra mile to provide great service! A hole got punched in the muffler of my 2009 Subaru, and this muffler was only manufactured for a year when the car first came out. They were able to source one and they charged me an extremely reasonable price to replace it! They’re always very kind and helpful, highly recommend TMS Auto!

shane boehmke They got me in very quick when I needed work on my truck. Communication was good and they had my truck back on the road in a few hours. Id call them again if needed work done.

Fletcher Evans You’re not gonna find a better mechanic/ honest person to diagnose and fix your vehicle. I’ve taken multiple work trucks to Pete for maintenance and more detailed repairs and each time I go to pick it up I know the work was done correctly. Jenny A Peter got me squeezed into his schedule to help ensure our familys safety for our cross country road trip. He did a wonderful job diagnosing a loud, unsettling noise in the car that other mechanics had not been able to locate. He got the car fixed up and 1,500 miles later it is still running in top condition! Thank you, Peter!

Suzie Miller I had my car towed to tire monkey with a timing chain issue . It turned out to be than just that issue . It took some time to figure it out but they got my vehicle going . I appreciate that they did everything they could to get my car going again and didn’t give up . As I can’t get into a car payment getting a new car right now .

Brandon Piatt KAMMS is an amazing auto repair shop! I was passing through Champagne on a cross country trip and heard an unusual noise coming from my back wheels. I didn’t feel safe continuing my trip until I could have someone diagnose the issue. I’m so fortunate that KAAMS was the auto shop that I trusted! It was a Friday late afternoon and when I called and explained my situation Cody was transparent about the fact that they were booked up that day and that they may not have a technician available to diagnose the issue, but that they would try their best to help me out by the end of the day. Keith, one of the technicians, knowing my situation stopped what he was doing and took the time to look at my vehicle and was able to diagnose a scary issue, but a simple fix. My back wheel had loosened and things could have gotten worse very quickly! They gave me a call within a couple of hours and my car was ready to be picked up and the cost was less than a tank of gas in California. Thanks to competent trustworthy folks I was able to get back on the road instead of being stalled in Champagne, Illinois through the weekend! Thank you so much KAAMS! You would definitely be my go to auto repair shop if I were a local in your region!

C Crow One of our family cars broke down on our way home from a trip. I searched for an auto repair place in champaign and found KAAMS. After bringing them up to speed on the particulars of the problem, I got an excellent vibe from the staff. They figured out the problem and gave me several options for how we could go about fixing the problem. Working within my budget, they found a solution that would get me back on the road. They were able to fix my car within a couple days, noting the extensive nature of the problem. Im so grateful for the quick turnaround time that they provided to me. Excellent customer service was provided with daily calls letting me know how it was going. The work was finished in faster time than they initially said. Im so grateful that my intuition led me to this auto repair shop, and I would definitely come back again if I was in the area.

Lindsey Hammerslag Saved me a ton of money by helping me determine that it was time to send a car to the scrap yard. CarX wanted $600 to work on one aspect of my failing car and I wasnt sure if it was worth it because the car had other issues and wasnt worth much. So I took it to Cecils and asked him to assess it. The guy who helped me discovered that the car wasnt going to survive no matter how much money I spent on it. And heres he kicker: he helped me so much but didnt even want to charge for his services. Even if it only took him 20 minutes, what he did for me was worth so much to my bottom line. It was incredibly kind of him to not ask for anything in return. Im really sad that Im moving away because this place would be my go-to shop for everything else I need in the future. Theyre super honest and helpful!

Amanda Jenkins Ever since they done body work and replaced my windshield I’ve had problems. The trim on the front of my Explorer keeps hanging off and has to be put back up all the time. Never had this problem before they worked on it. And suddenly now I do and it’s my fault. Not sure how but ok. The real issue that has me seeing red and about to see if so can sue them is my windshield. The trim at the sides of my windshield were not put on good. Going down I 74 the driver side trim started flapping. Bought some painters tape to tape it so I could get back home. Then the next thing I know, the passenger side trim starts flapping also except before I could even pull over, it flies off the car. So now I have to get that fixed. Oh, I have taken it back to Gerber over these issues. Was told it was my fault even though I never had these issues before they touched my vehicle. I’d stay as far away from here as possible.

Daniel Hibler I took my car here. They were taking off the tire to replace a tire rod, I asked that they tighten a bolt on my breaks I knew was the cause of a slow drip. I got the over priced bill in which they charged me $56 for labor to turn a clearly visible bolt less than half a turn.
