She introduced me to the soft builder gel option, and I’ve been obsessed with it for the past three visits—it’s been a game changer for the strength and look of my nails (especially working in dental). Mary W This was my first visit at Nu Nails. The salon is beautiful, bright and airy. The nail areas were well sanitized and comfortable I was hoping Id find a salon that I would go back to, and I did! My pedicure and manicure were with Kim. Wow! Ordinary Asian Late post review. My daughter and I recently visited Nu Nails in Libertyville for nail art, and we were thoroughly impressed. Jimmy, the talented artist, did a fantastic job on our nails art design. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the salon itself is spotless with a lovely ambiance. Although the prices are a bit higher than other salons in the area, the quality and experience make it worth it. Highly recommend checking them out!

Lisa Mitten Edited 1/20/2025: I returned for a manicure on my own and they remembered my name! I’m definitely a return customer now! I had an appointment for a pedicure for myself. My 8 year old wanted to tag along (which made me nervous). They immediately noticed her and asked if she would like to join. This was her first pedicure and an amazing experience for us both. We have already scheduled our return visit.

Iris Santana Pro Nails is the place where I go to get relaxed and pampered. I always go with Sunny. He does a great job! He massages my legs and does really nice pedicures. I leave feeling renewed. I highly recommend!

Kathy Woodson I walked in hot appointment for 1 p.m with 2 young ladys 1 cut my hair and she was very patient very understanding help make a terrific decision she was absolutely the sweetest thing. Torey Bielarczyk My experience here was horrible. The expensive color I paid for is the worst professional color Ive ever received. Every time I look in the mirror, it makes me angry at how this salon ripped me off by telling me that Alicia is an expert colorist. The ridiculously overpriced haircut I received from Evie is literally a mullet. The salon has done nothing to try and make this situation right. I used to go to this salon when I was in HS and college, in the 1990s. After wearing my hair long for most of my life, at 48, I found myself in a really bad hair space. Id been forced to cut it short due to over processing and damage. I decided to come back to this salon because (while theyve always been extremely pricey) they used to do great work. I told them my story, how my self-confidence was gone after having my hair cut short and how I needed them to fix the color and modernize the horrible haircut Id gotten at Haircuttery. I told them I want to grow it back out and I was set up with Evie (haircut $80!) and Alicia (color $230!). We did a consultation to discuss my exact goals and a long-term plan for growing my hair back out. I had the best of hopes that they would deliver. But unfortunately, they did not. Over $500 later (cut + color + Revlon products Evie sold me on +$20 tip for Evie and a $60 tip for Alicia)....I left Octagon 100% disappointed with both the mullet-like cut that Evie gave me and the full-head color I received from Alicia, which was not even close to the color I wanted or that we had discussed. I didnt know what shadow color is or meant. Alicia did not explain anything about it, but added it to my services anyway. While my color was processing, several foils fell out while Alicia had left me to go pump her breasts. (Shed had a newborn baby recently.) She never replaced those foils or came back to check how the color was processing. I literally sat there with color dripping on my face. No one else working there bothered to even offer me a paper towel. I have no issue with new mothers being allowed to pump breast milk while working, as long as its done in a professional manner and the services Im paying top dollar to receive are preformed in a professional manner. In this case, I feel she was distracted and did not give proper attention to my processing color. This is why she had to add the shadow color that I didnt ask for and Im currently unhappy with in my hair right now I literally spent several hours therefore these services and left there feeling totally ripped off and completely disappointed in both the haircut and hair color I received. I should not have tipped them so well because I sent them the wrong message. I cant see myself going back for any more services here and that disappoints me very much. I had hoped to form a new hair salon relationship. Instead, I feel that I paid top dollar to get taken advantage of and not receive the cut or color services that we had all discussed together. The shadow color is horrible and not at all what I asked for or wanted, neither is the shade of blonde. Bottomline: this place is super expensive and did not deliver the cut and color services they said they would. I also felt pressured into spending $130 on Revlon products that I really dont need, just because Evie also works for Revlon. I really had a good vibe at first, before receiving both sub-par services on 1/17/2025. But I believe if I spend $500 at one time at any salon...I should walk out loving my new look and feeling satisfied with the services I received. I should FEEL like a million bucks and not like I was totally ripped off.

Debbie OConnor Never a bad experience! I have been coming to the Octagon since Emilee Burrow started. She is a fantastic stylist! I always leave feeling amazing! She never disappoints and is extremely pleasant and knows my hair better than I do. Can’t forget to add if iam in a down mood, Em will always put a smile on my face!

sanaii destini My favorite place to go, they have a person there to make sure you have a resource for all your problems! You can count on always being relaxed and feeling protected. A no-judge zone and you have women to bond with while you are there! I go there for nails by nica , lashes by shanika, and pretty soon i’ll start waxing services. Plus, they have beautiful women to be around why wouldn’t you want to book? Prices are reasonable and the service you get is priceless! Book with them! Stop thinking

Rochelle E Nguyen I’ve come to this location many times with my mom, but never got around to writing a review. Today I came in as a walk in and they accommodated me quickly! Their check in IPad process is simple and user friendly. My pedicure was relaxing and cuticles were cleaned very well. My nail tech was thorough and took their time. I purchased the deluxe pedicure and it was amazing. Will be returning soon!

Plasky Karol “KC1122” Really bad experience, the guy didnt do the shape that I want and hurt one of my fingers. I paid $60 and looks like that I have to do my nails again. I had to go to different salon to redo my nails so I paid more for my nails at the end. Sorry but looks awful and bad experience.

Princess Singleton I always wait a few weeks to give a review and I must say I was very pleased with my experience here. Tasha is awesome at what she does. I came in and my pixie was so damaged. She brought my hair back to life. I also bought a bottle of her hair serum and its done wonders for my hair. Its not a heavy flaky, quick saturating serum like others Ive tried. Second I want to shout out jaclyn who is the nail tech at the salon who took care of my nails while I waited to get my hair done. My nails have lasted longer than most shops I go to here in the area and weeks later they Still look newly done. I will definitely be going back here.

lauren scott I go to Dollupa for my acrylic toe sets and she eats every time. I always get what I requested and her customer service is immaculate. My sets always last for 4+ weeks. Throughout the whole service she ensures your comfortable and has something play on tv. Dollupa is also very sweet and so relatable.You can tell she’s very passionate about her work. Dollupa is very talented make sure you book her. She also does nails, hair, lashes etc.
